These tender oven-baked ribs are seasoned with a smoky dry rub and finished with a caramelized barbecue glaze. Slow-cooked at low heat for hours, they come out juicy, flavorful, and perfect for an easy homemade BBQ feast.
Line a baking sheet or roasting pan with aluminum foil.
Flip the ribs so the bone side is facing up. Remove the membrane by gripping it with a paper towel and gently pulling it off.
Turn the ribs bone side down again. Prepare the dry rub by mixing together 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon ground mustard.
Rub the seasoning evenly all over the ribs, including both sides.
Place the ribs in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. If necessary, cut them in half to fit.
Cover the ribs with a layer of aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven at 275°F (135°C) for 3.5 to 4 hours, until tender.
Once cooked, spread an even layer of barbecue sauce over the ribs.
Put the baking sheet back into the oven under the broiler setting. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce bubbles and caramelizes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
