Procedure

Toast the bread slices until golden and keep warm.
In a medium non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add milk and beer and heat until just simmering.
Add grated cheddar cheese all at once to the skillet and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth, about 2 minutes.
